| ARTIST'S STATEMENT I specialise in making large sculptural birds, but it is fun to work on a miniature range. The little owls are a joy to make and they are so comical; they resemble little pom-pon on legs. I create the feathers using a range of wooden modelling tools and use about eight glaze colours to show the variety of warm brown tones on the body.
