DESCRIPTION   Coiled body with modelled and slab carved details.  Blue and turquoise glazes with oxides and stains

ARTIST'S STATEMENT   Creating a slab paneled tail for this large design is always a challenge, and then I press lino block patterns into disks of flat clay to decorate the piece.  As many of my birds have a muted colour scheme, it is refreshing to work with bright blues and turquoise glazes.
